ARTIST STATEMENT: I am interested in the surface, the epidermis, the second coat of Maybelline mascara, the growing Sperry Top-Sider boat-shoe plague, the wanting, the way my gaudy rhinestone encrusted bangles clank against each other, the needing, and most of all I am interested in the law of attraction. By examining the obvious, somehow the bloody-guts and twisted-innards of a concept, of a creature, of an individual, of a memory, of an apparatus, are exposed. My idea of an ideal piece of art is one that recognizes the selfish, sticky fingered, media driven, candy colored, inequitable presence in which it was conceived.
All paintings are painted in either Acrylic or Oil. These are NOT collages.
